Haunted Hoorah Forced To Move!

 

Haunted Hoorah in Ashley, Ohio is encountering a major problem this haunt season. The Buckeye Valley School District is suing them and the reason is eminent domain. They can seize the land for their own use because they’re a government entity. The district is building a new elementary school and a portion will be on the same land Haunted Hoorah is currently using. This includes a bus loop. The school district only offered $95,000 for the land when it’s worth $330, 000. Haunted Hoorah will have a different location next season. There will soon be a civil trial scheduled for March at the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.

Phillip Morris Passes Away!

 It's a sad day for the horror and haunt industry. Phillip Morris of Morris Costumes has passed away at the age of 83. Phillip is well known for creating the classic Bigfoot costume seen in the Patterson-Gimlin film. He also was a magician that was heavily involved in Midnight Spook Shows. He created one of the first haunted house guide books in 1980 called How to Operate a Financially Successful Haunted House. He will definitely be missed, but his spirit will live on.

The 7th Street Haunt Haunters Against Hate Night

The 7th Street Haunt in Louisville, KY will have its Haunters Against Hate night on Saturday, October 7th from 9:30pm to 1am. There will be a variety of drag performers including T.B Sparrow, Sydney Hampton, Tova Ura Vitch and more. Highway 50 Fright Field Adds New Attraction!

Highway 50 Fright Field has added a new attraction called Operation Termination Zombie Paintball. Fight off the living dead using paintball guns and have a killer time. Highway 50 Fright Field is located at 11294 US Highway 50 North Bend, Ohio and is open Fridays and Saturdays in October.
